The Volkswagen Touareg has returned to Malaysia after an absence of 12 years. The good news is, it is now CKD (locally-assembled) and so the price is very very affordable at only RM469,990.

As you all know the Volkswagen Touareg shares the same platform as the Porsche Cayenne, the Bentley Bentayga, the Lamborghini Urus and the Audi Q7.

The Volkswagen Touareg is powered by a 3.0L TSI V6 engine developing 340PS and 450Nm of torque, drive is to all four wheels through the 4MOTION AWD system and an 8-speed automatic transmission. It also comes with air suspension, and 20-inch wheels.

With such high specs, the interior is also very well appointed with a 4 zone climate control and 2 large screen for the instrumentation and infotainment. And there are several drive modes and terrain response system for the driver to tackle any terrain, plus a wading depth of 550mm.

Given these excellence specifications, the price is really attractive.
