Honda HR-V RS e:HEV Hybrid – Explore it with YS Khong | YS Khong Driving

Finally we got up close and personal with the Honda HR-V e:HEV RS.

We explore this hybrid version, and note that despite it having the same hybrid system and engine capacity as the City and City Hatchback hybrid, there has been a revision of the final drive ratio, giving the HR-V e:HEV quite good power delivery.

This new hybrid system is more akin to an electric vehicle with an engine to recharge the batteries.

Additionally, the engine takes over at high speed cruising to ease the load on the motor, but every time you put your foot down, the electric motor kicks back in to give you that kick in the pants feeling.
